The kids and Grandma collecting rocks from the back yard.
Ellen used a recipe for making butter she got from school to make some homemade butter.
It was really easy to and quick to make. We had a lot of fun with it.
This kids put together puzzles and played during the visit.
Ellen, Sissy, and Mia spent some time at the Knights of Columbus park
before a picnic lunch and some swimming.
Owen is always up for a game of cornhole.

Paul Taking Ellen's Dictation:
This weekend Sissy and Grandma and Grandpa Gugel came to our house. They stayed the night.
On Saturday we cleaned the house. We went to the store. We collected cool rocks with Grandma. We made our own butter. When we were done, Kevin and Carol came. We got to eat rhubarb pie and rice krispie treats with chocolate on top. We got to eat caramel ice cream. We got to watch some TV. Then Kevin and Carol had to go.
On Sunday we woke up. Me and Owen had to sleep in Owen's room. Sissy finished baby Louie's sweater. Daddy made fruit salad and blueberry pancakes, banana pancakes, and plain pancakes.Grandma and Sissy went to the store. Mommy had to go to a meeting at church. I played with my dolls in my room for a while. When Grandma and Sissy got home from the store, they brought home a teddy bear for baby Louie. Grandma got us goggles and a net to scoop our tadpoles in. She got us the amphibian pet box. We had to transfer our tadpoles to the amphibian pet box. We got to scoop out the tadpoles and put them in the box. We packed up and we had a picninc and played on the playground at the Knights of Columbus. We went swimming. I got to wear my new swimsuit. We got to use our new goggles. Sissy and Grandpa had to go to Cincinnati to see a Phish concert. When we got home, we played on our swingset for a little bit. Then grandma had to go. We played lacrosse with Daddy. It was fun. Then we ate dinner. For dinner we had salad and garlic bread and yummy chicken and vegetables. And we had shells mac 'n cheese. we had milk to drink. Then mom started reading her Kindle again, and we started writing our blog.
Owen:
the tadpoles that Grandma and grandpa gave us to borrow from the pond .
Paul Taking Owen's Dictation:
I went to my baseball game to play the Lugnuts and my friend Gavin plays on the Lugnuts. And on one of the plays, I got three people out on the Lugnuts team. In the whole game, I got five people out.
Earlier in the day, we went to a pool called the Knights of Columbus, and I learned how to dive there. You put your head tucked in your arms, and you keep your ankles and legs together. And you bend your legs and jump. And it's just like doing a "pencil" dive except your fingertips touch the water first.
How are the tadpoles doing today? Love Grandma Gugel
